Сразу трое новичков Премьер-лиги рискуют завершить календарный год в зоне вылета – кроме Шеффилда и Лутон Таун в этой группе находится Бернли. Скорее всего, две, если не три, команды из этого списка в первой же кампании после выхода в АПЛ вернутся в Чемпионшип. Эти дружины попросту не могут держать уровень чемпионата, хотя зимняя трансферная кампания может помочь их положению.

Возвращение Уайлдера на тренерский мостик Юнайтед стал глотком свежего воздуха для коллектива. Кажется, специалист действительно разбирается в структуре Шеффилда, из которого он был уволен в сезоне 2020/21 из-за неудачных выступлений.

В декабре другой новичок Премьер-лиги получил несколько сложных оппонентов. После гостевого поражения от Брентфорда в гости к Лутон Таун приезжали Арсенал и Манчестер Сити – у обоих грандов аутсайдер мог забрать очки, но все-таки не вытерпел во втором тайме.

Куда болезненнее этих осечек стало для команды Эдвардса игра с Борнмутом, по ходу которой сознание потерял ее капитан. Основной защитник Лутон Таун Локьер и так страдал от проблем с сердцем, но он быстро пришел в себя, а встречу с командой Ираолы будут переигрывать.
